Van insurance claims guide overview

From mini-vans to extra-large vans that can transport shed-loads of stuff, Devitt, the experts in motor insurance, can provide you with everything you need to know about insurance and making a claim – which is why we put together this van insurance claims guide.
How to make a van insurance claim
Making a claim is easier than you might think, whether you’ve been in an accident, your van has been stolen or goods from your vehicle have been stolen. Follow the guide below to learn how to make a claim.
What if I get into an accident?
We’ll be with you every step of the way. Give us all of the details of the accident, big or small – what happened, where it happened, what you believe might have caused the accident, any injuries sustained and any other third parties involved. If you can and if it’s appropriate, take photographs of what happened, so that you have evidence that the insurer can use if necessary and if you’re unable to do that, draw a detailed diagram or ask someone else to do it for you.
Whilst you’re still at the scene, do not admit fault – especially if you’re unsure of what caused the accident. Get the details (if possible) of everybody else at the scene, including any witnesses.
