Everything you need to know about the Southend Shakedown
Resurrected in 2019, with the help of local insurance company Devitt Insurance, the Southend Shakedown allows bikes from the local area to take over the famous Southend Promenade for one day only.
Originally started back in 2016 by the Oilheads Motorcycle Group, it was a love affair for local bikers to get together and enjoy showcasing a whole range of motorcycles from adventure bikes, to streetfighters to custom machines and even trikes!
Now, there’s a whole day dedicated to local bikes allowing them to showcase their motorcycles as well as local trade stands and live music from local tribute bands all day long. You can enjoy the great British seaside over the Easter Monday bank holiday whilst also raising money for the Southend Shakedown’s local chosen charity, Little Havens.
If you fancy getting involved then the team are always looking for volunteers who are able to help on the day including directing traffic, helping with parking and general marshalling of the area to make sure the whole event runs smoothly.
