Bullit gives its slick Hero mini-scrambler a bigger engine for 2021
The Bullit Hero 125 is a great-looking little learner-legal roadster, with sweet retro dirt styling and low price. It’s a little short on grunt though, especially if you’ve passed your test, so the Belgian-based firm has brought out this, the Hero 250.
An all-new water-cooled single-cylinder 250cc motor makes 26bhp, which is a decent output for a bike weighing just 148kg dry. Carburation is by Delphi fuel injection, there’s a DOHC 4-valve head, and there’s a six-speed gearbox.
Away from the new engine, the chassis is based around a simple steel tube frame, with USD front forks and a Fastec rear monoshock. Brakes are equipped with a simple ABS setup, with a 290mm front wave disc and twin-piston sliding caliper, and 240mm rear wave disc with single-piston caliper. Clocks are minimal with a single speedo pod and no tacho.
Tyres are offroad-style budget hoops, with a 4.10 – 18” front and 4.60 – 17” rear, fuel capacity is 15 litres and it come in three colour schemes – black/gold, Martini white/red/blue, and titanium. Price is good at £3,999, and it’s available in dealers now.
