Yamaha WR125R Bike Overview
A dual purpose bike which is nimble and stylish and can deal with anything you throw at it, the WR125-R features a double cradle chassis that houses a 124.7 cc fuel injected, liquid cooled four-stroke engine with 4 valves and a single cylinder.
It offers a maximum torque of 11KW @9000 rpm. It comes with a pair of sports wheels – 21 at the front and 18 at the back – in high quality tyres.
Braking is spot on with 240 mm front and 220 mm rear disc brakes that give instant stopping power.
Seating on the bike is ergonomically designed with a tall 930 mm seat which is ideally placed with relation to the handles and footrest. The rider has total control when riding the bike.
The benefit of having a 4 stroke liquid cooled SOHC engine is that there is plenty of power available as and when you need it. It comes with 6 speed gears that makes it ideal to ride on the motorway or while off-road riding.
Whatever the terrain, the steel chassis is supported by 41 mm forks at the front with a responsive Monocross at the rear, which is adjustable. As a result, riding the bike is smooth and it offers excellent manoeuvrability too.
Its wheels offer good agility over the roughest of terrain, whether sand or gravel, and its dual purpose tyres produce incredible road hugging abilities, which make it great around corners and sharp bends.
A great dual purpose bike for beginners to hone their riding skills!
