Triumph Rocket III Bike Overview
The Triumph Rocket III is the biggest motorcycle you can get and the specs really stack up! With this bike you’ll get a 2.3-litre engine which gets you around 150ft lb of torque, making it an incredible ride that you won’t want to miss.
The Triumph Rocket III has a harsh suspension which is fine on smooth roads, but potholes can certainly start to hurt…. The Rocket III’s road handling is very good though, even though it is very weighty.
You’d think the 2249cc motor would be an intimidating to ride but the power delivery throughout the first three gears is smooth and softened. So you will never feel out of control with this bike.
This bike is pretty easy to maintain; just be sure to clean the paintwork every now and again. You won’t need to worry about chain lube, as the hassle-free shaft-drive takes care of everything for you. This is a reliable machine, and compared to something like the Harley, the Triumph Rocket III is good value for money. It isn’t only faster, but it handles better and seems much superior overall.

The ride position is spot on. Imagine riding the most comfortable armchair in the world except this armchair is strapped to an actual rocket. The bike is so wide that avoiding manspreading is impossible and yesterday 4 feminists burst into flames just because I rode past them with my legs that far apart.
I've only has the bike a week but it's a British brand so it's going to be built tougher than a coffin nail.
I'm used to a Yamaha Vmax with brakes that are about as much use as a handbrake on a canoe. These brakes however are amazing. Braking hard will guarantee you'll need to get off the bike to find where your spleen went while you remove the self inflicted atomic wedgie.
Despite its massive size the bike is remarkably nimble. Like King Kong in a tutu pirouetting down the road. Power is delivered smoothly and confidently from zero to level of ecstasy that's not been felt since Jimmy Hendrix discovered popping candy.
When you start the mighty 2.3 litre engine it makes a noise similar to a squadron of B52 bombers going over. You hear the low growly rumble and you just know someone is about to get fucked up.
Apparently a tank of juice will get you 145 miles which I should imagine Is made possible by a fuel tank that can be seen from space.

Perfect fit with good leg and seat options
Some of the build and much of the design is exceptional. Sad to say that after under a year dry stored and covered it is showing signs of corrosion on some parts! Not what I would expect from a top end Triumph motorbike.
When it works, for the size of bike, they are exceptional. Unfortunately there has been an ongoing break-bleed issues for many of the models - not experienced this on my bike, but a worry it could develop.
Big bike and rated as such along with other big bikes. It is heavy but covers this up incredibly well, no sports bike, however holds her own against most! Best bike I have ever ridden.
There is nothing like it, mind you with 2500cc I guess that is what you expect.
Given the size, I would say running is low in cost.

Not had a pillion as yet but for me the rider the position and seating is the most comfortable I have been on any bike
Its still very new so no breakdowns or problems, solid looking engine sounds great
You would think it would take a day to stop with the size of it but the breaks are the best I have ever had it stops with ease and smoothly, holds well with the hill hold on too
Handles very well for such a big bike, takes corners very smooth the torque is incredible absolute beast of a machine
At 2500cc its very powerful engine and fantastic performance
For the size of the look of the tank you would think it would hold more fuel but at only 18ltrs its only slightly bigger than my old speed triple r and will admit it drinks the fuel much more than my previous bike but then it is a huge 2.5ltr engine so its expected

I've had many bikes over the years this one is a definite keeper, it's a bike for all seasons in can tour , pose or heaven forbid in politically correct England hold my own in a race.

For one of the biggest bikes on the road it's surprisingly agile!
It's 2300cc, what more can you ask for!
If I was worried about running costs I wouldn't have bought it, think Smile per gallon rather than miles!
Second to none, good old fashion English engineering!

Very comfortable, smooth engine, power spoils you. Needs some getting used to the mass.
Power spoils you for other bikes. Once I got rid of the euro-trash exhaust for open pipes performance really exploded even further!
Guzzles fuel but I count smiles per gallon! Do my own oil changes and brake replacement. Chews up rear tires line bubble gum, max maybe 8k miles.
30k plus trouble free miles!
Good brakes and grip, dual disk front and single rear. Need avoid jumping on rear brake as it turns into a bucking bronco!

It could use a reverse gear, you have to be careful where you park up, its heavy on your legs pushing backwards up hill, you'll only do this once.

First time I swung my leg over it and took it off the stand I thought, holy buggerations! This is ridiculously heavy, but once your on the move its surprisingly easy to ride.
It has very smooth power delivery from its 2.3ltr engine with bags of torque meaning you're not always changing gears as it will pull away easily in top gear.
It uses more fuel than my 1.4ltr car and you have to go easy on the throttle to get decent mpg but thats not what its about, ive never worked out the cost of running it and its probably for the best!
Superb build quality, its never had a problem, the paint work and tank badges are top quality and still like new.
Excellent brakes as you would expect to stop this 700lb+ monster.
