KTM 690 Enduro R Bike Overview
The newly improved KTM 690 Enduro R was launched back in 2019 and is already a big hit with enduro racing fans. If you’re a big fan of enduro and have had your fair share of off-road riding experience then it’s well worth checking out the 690 Enduro R.
The KTM 690 Enduro R is packed full of power, a great suspension kit and some big knobbly tyres, with a price tag starting from £9,995 – it’s not the cheapest Enduro model on the market but KTM have spared no expense. Weighing in at a hefty 146kg, you’re going to make an impression when you’re riding off the beaten track.
Other highlights of the KTM 690 Enduro R is the 74bhp, which isn’t for the inexperienced rider. 680cc engine gives plenty of grunt which is something you’ll need when you’re hitting the muddy trials but it is equipped with off-road traction control that always comes in handy.
Obviously you can take the 690 Enduro R out on the road for a good spin and still enjoy all of its feature but it really comes alive off-road.

The KTM 690 R Enduro offers a combination of big bike power with the thrills of taking it on serious off road trails when the mood takes you.
Cons
Because it is a single cylinder 4 stroke, it's very thumpy and can be tiring after a while on longer rides. You know you are riding a lot of bike when you take her out on the road.

It's an Enduro, so great off road. I use a great set of road tyres for travelling to where I want to have fun and have put a Touratech saddle on to ease the ride, but it's still gets un-comfy pretty quickly

Brilliant in both wet and dry conditions
It rides brilliantly on the trails and with slicks on, it's pretty good on the road.
Great power for a 654cc engine, very torquey at the bottom end and rides the steepest of trails very easily. No great top end speed, but the wind will slow me down first!
I service it myself and part from MOTs, Tax and insurance, it is pretty cheap to run. I don't do massive mileage, but can imagine the fuel bill being fairly steep if it was my only means of getting from A 2 B.
