Kawasaki Z125 Overview

Kawasaki launched the Z125 in 2019/2020 so whilst it’s still relatively new to the motorcycling market, Kawasaki have gone all out to make the Z125 the must-have small capacity machine. After 25 years out of the game the latest model massively at the new rider market, Kawasaki have made an effort to make 125cc machines a bit more… well sexy!

The aggressive stylings on the Z125 certainly give it a fresh approach to a beginner machine. The naked roadster look shares the same engine as its brother, Ninja 125 which was also given new legs in 2019. It’s cheap to run and pretty reliable with an upright riding position it makes it super comfortable and it’s fairly lightweight which is ideal for a newbie.

ABS as standard on the Z125 but it does lack some of the extras you’d find on the rival 125cc machines on the market right now. It’s still kitted out with a basic LED screen and decent suspension, but the good stuff comes aftermarket so it’s well worth remembering you’re thinking about investing. Comparing to KTM’s Duke 125 or Aprilia’s Tuono 125 which have got a lot more included as standard.

All in all if you’re looking for your first ride or a great little commuting hack then Kawasaki really have pulled out the stops for its step back into the 125 world.
