Honda VT125 Shadow Bike Overview
Launched in 1999, the Honda VT125 Shadow was in production for eight years, with minor adjustments over the years.
Often matched against the Suzuki GZ125 Marauder and Kawasaki‘s EL 125 Eliminator, the Honda VT125 Shadow is an extremely popular bike for learners, although the VT125 Shadow is more expensive, it’s got better build quality and reliability overall.
Only weighing in at 146kg, Honda’s VT125 Shadow is the perfect first ride for a newbie as well as the lower seat height means it’s a lot easier to maneuver at lower speeds and through traffic.
A lot of motorcyclists opt for the VT125 Shadow as it’s a great base for creating your own custom machine. Starting prices for a second hand Honda VT125 Shadow are around £2,500, it’s a good investment for your first project.
