Harley-Davidson Street Rod Bike Overview
The Harley-Davidson Street Rod can be seen as a development of the 750 Street model. This new model was introduced as a result of feedback from the market in which it was stated a more sporty Harley was needed, one that compete with the likes of the Yamaha FZ-07.
The high output revolution X engine is the major upgrade from the previous model, and the addition of the Mikuni Twin Port Fuel Injection system means the Street Rod has a maximum torque of maximum torque of 62nm at 4000rpm. This also makes the bike capable of just below 70 horsepower, making the Street Rod a completely different beast to the Street 750.
In terms of the suspension, the front is taken care of by USD Telescopic and twin shock absorbers at the rear.
The appearance of the Street Rod is also a huge selling point, it’s taller, has new split seven-spoke 17 inch wheels, the cool all black-look and repositioned tank makes the Street Rod appear most fierce and aggressive, and as far as the engine and power are concerned, it is exactly that. The flat handle bars may not be what you would expect from a Harley, however makes for a smart sporty finish and the foldable rear view mirrors are a huge plus.
