Cagiva Raptor 1000 Overview
With only a short five year run by Cagiva, the Raptor 1000 was launched in 2000. Much like it’s little brother 650 Raptor, Cagiva use the best of Japanese and Italian motorcycle manufacturing to create their machines.
As expected the engine you’ll find the Raptor 1000 is that of Suzuki’s TL1000 which has been detuned to reach 105bhp – that’s a lot of bang for your buck! Thanks to the Suzuki input you’ve got plenty of reliability too. No other big problems have ever been found with Cagiva machines, just the usual wear and tear.
There’s not many Cagiva bikes on the market in the UK now, you’ll be picking these up second hand.
Some have compared the Cagiva Raptor 1000 to the Ducati Monster – what do you think?
