Aprilia Dorsoduro 900 Bike Overview
Aprilia’s Dorsoduro 900 was finally released in the UK in 2008, despite being available across Europe in 2017. Not for everyone, this rather unique supermoto bike boasts a 896cc, four-stroke, liquid-cooled V-twin engine which has a lovely distinct sound even when you’re not going full throttle.
The radial brakes are good and have three-stage traction control and ABS to fall back on if necessary.
The Aprilia Dorsoduro 900 appears rather dominating, with 15-teeth in the front sprocket, one less that the Shiver model, a high flat seat at 870mm and widespread handlebars.
This Aprilia has an 4.3-inch full colour dash, with the option of adding an A-MP kit, which gives you the perk of being able to connect your phone via Bluetooth.
It has been reported that with the Aprilia Dorsoduro 900 comes many trips to the dealers due to problems. The overall quality and durability of the bike has come under question, with rusting and corroding being reported.
On the whole, this niche supermoto is certainly not everyone’s cup of tea. At a price of £8,999, it is not the most reliable bike in its price range, with some owners preferring a Hypermotard instead.
