Yamaha DT125X Bike Overview
The popular Yamaha bike DT series spawned a number of classics, with the supermoto Yamaha DT 125X probably one of the finest. Commuting on it is a breeze as the bike is agile and a pleasure to ride. If you plan to use it for off-roading adventures this might not be the bike; other than that the bike is simply superb.
Driven by a two stroke engine which is dependable and time tested, it shines in performance. As a norm, learner bikes may not be as enjoyable as the big boys, but this bike still has that extra bit of fun in riding. With an electric start, just rev the engine and you have a reliable bike ready to go.
The bike does well in height and has a distinctive and commanding appearance that makes it great to ride in town. Great round tight corners, its suspensions are smooth, so no bumpy rides with good braking. The steering is sharp with excellent handling and it responds effortlessly. With great balance and stability, it is the right bike for beginners to master the art of riding.
One of the best basic bikes in its class, its tall seat and wide bars make it easy to manoeuvre with a small turning circle. While the dash is standard with the usual analogue speedometer, oil indicator etc. it could have done with a fuel light and rev meter. Also the choke for the carburettor needs better placement. Despite these minor drawbacks, the bike scores quite high for us.

Cons
Being a 2 stroke you have to fork out for regular servicing and oil as well as it being juicy on fuel
