Triumph Sprint ST Bike Overview
The Sprint ST is what many riders would call the very pinnacle of sports touring refinement. It is a great bike for many reasons, not least the fact that it never seems to compromise on anything. It covers distances, is comfortable and it handles well.
It’s a practical, stylish bike that in 2007 received new generation ECU for quicker starting as well as better fuel economy. The bike also received higher handlebars and a taller touring screen. The Sprint ST is also Euro 3 complaint.
The engine is a liquid-cooled, DOHC, in-line 3-cylinder with multipoint sequential electronic fuel injection. It has a 6 speed gearbox and a cool looking aluminium beam perimeter frame. The suspension is also good on this bike, with rear Monoshock and adjustable preload and rebound damping.
The weight of this bike is about 210kg, and it has a maximum power of around 127PS (125bhp) at 9250rpm.
Overall, this bike really delivers. The Triumph name means you can always easily access parts or spares should you need to. What’s more, you can get this bike is a cool blue, sunset red or sleek aluminium silver.

Owner Reviews
Pros
We love this bike and we've had quite a few different models from various manufacturers. It's the kind of bike you will love instantly and, like me, will always smile when you ride it. It's beautiful and I'll probably keep it for a few years. There's nothing else out there that comes close except the VFR vtec which is just a tad boring for me. It's fast and it's comfortable and cheap to run. I just love the sound from the triple exhausts and the response from the engine. The single sided swing arm looks soon sexy. The gearbox is silky smooth.
Cons
Triumph should have fitted a sight glass for the engine oil. It's not expensive and it would just finish things off nicely.

Lovely smooth engine with awesome triple cylinder power and torque. Great compromise between a four and a twin. Can feel a bit top heavy at low speeds unless you drag the rear brake when maneuvering slowly. The Sprint ST feels super stable and planted through the bends even fully loaded with boxes and luggage
The 1050 Sprint is plenty fast enough for anyone in my view. It's really good on fuel as well as managing between 45 and 55 mpg regularly. If you really try hard you could see 155mph I guess that but that pointless on a bike. Incredible engine braking from the triple engine which takes a fair bit of getting used to as I have tended to back off the throttle a bit early at times.

Great Triumph build quality. It feels like it's built to last. Never broken down but one or two of the fairing fasteners are not really up to the job. The trim fasteners are suspect here. The paintwork is beautiful, deep and shiny.
Excellent brakes with steady initial bite. The rear brake is largely ineffective but does help with slow riding techniques. No ABS on mine so I can't comment but the brakes are probably as good as my old Fazer 1000 and that had stonking brakes. Reasonable grip from the Bridgestone tyres but I will probably change them for either Z8 Metzeler or Michelin PR3 next time.
Pros
Engine and exhaust pop on over run, always puts a smile on my face
Cons
Brakes and maybe bar risers to sort the wirst ache

Always fun to ride. Power is amazing and leans into a corner nicely, considering its size it doesnt feel weighty.
Best part of the bike by far!
Brakes and maybe bar risers to sort the wirst ache
Seems okay but well known for electrical issues with battery charging. I have changed the regulator to a mosfet style and battery to a litho and not had any issues so far.
Crap…no feel in them and struggle to stop quickly if you if get caught out going abit fast.
Pros
Overall, one of the best bikes I have owned. Real heritage in its pedigree. Feels like a bike that has come through a serious lineage of Bikes. Worst thing about it is that it can feel heavy when making fast maneuvers, but if you are relatively fit, this should not be too fatiguing.
Cons
Slight weight reduction would help.

Smooth ride. Medium weight feels confident to ride. Can become hard work if you ride it hard.
Fantastic power range.. smooth acceleration all the way through the power band. Excellent!

I love my Triumph, was going to change it last year but decided to keep it as it does all I need from a bike.

Beautiful to ride, smooth cornering and quiet on the engine too
Style and available accessories (heated grips etc..)
Rear brake could be improved
Triumph are always built to last, guaranteed quality
braking system is standard, single 2 pot calliper on rear, and twin 2 pot callipers on the front, personally I would like better performance on the rear, but I can do that myself.
Pros
Good size bike, great to ride great value for money and build quality is second to none
Cons
Heat dispersion from under the seat

Very smooth riding, always depends on quality of the road now days, vibrates through grips quite bad, corners very well with good throttle response.
Good quality engine, great throttle response, regular oil changes are a must for this bike, very 6 months at least in my experience.
spend approximately £10 per week on average for around 130-140 miles
Great build quality, the reg rec seems to be a common problem and the battery is a little on the small side for the bike size, that said it does run very well.
Good responsive brakes, the front can be a little quick to lock at low speeds, so light touches is best
