Honda CBR125R Bike Overview
The Honda CBR125R has been a successful and popular bike all over the world. And it is easy to see why. It is a comfortable bike to ride, which also gives riders good fuel economy and lasting performance.
The bike feels stable and solid with a larger rear tyre than its predecessor, along with new bodywork. Suspension feels a little soft but this doesn’t always matter if you’re travelling through towns full of pot holes. The engine is reliable on this model too; it uses fuel injection and water cooling so all you need to check regularly are the oil and coolant level. This bike does struggle at 70mph but below this isn’t a problem and can return 60+mpg.
Unfortunately as this bike is built in Thailand, spares can be expensive so you’ll want to make sure that the model you pick up looks in good condition form the start. This bike is around the £7000 mark, making it quite pricey for what it is. What you will get though is good styling exercise and a functional ride.
If you’re after a simple, easy to ride, fully functional bike, this model might be a good one for you to consider. You can never go wrong with a Honda either – a good reliable name which riders trust through and through.

The seat is really comfortable especially for long journeys.
The bikes never failed me once, engine is all ways good, just daily maintenance is all I need, i.e. chain, sprockets, tyres and oil change, it's a all round brilliant bike
The breaks are superb, good I know it's an abs system not sure of the actual model.
The bike is a smooth going, the Gears are smooth to shift threw, it's quite a light bike, perfect bike for corners
The bhp is like 13/14, it's a quick enough wee bike, perfect for first time riders, it looks amazing too.
The petrol is brilliant I've done like 250 mile journeys on two full tanks, haven't owned another bike, the if I put £10 in it a week it will do me all week.
Pros
Reliability, Cost to run for a young rider.
Cons
Mirrors aren't very adjustable and often get covered by my forearms

You can't lean back in it but it's about as comfortable as a neo retro sports bike can get.
The engine has never failed me, only the plastics fairings are too easy too snap.
Brakes could be used to stop a 3 ton BMW.
Super smooth, incredibly lightweight and easy to dodge potholes.
You can't ask much from a 125 but it's the fastest 125 I've owned and you don't need to go any faster.
£5 a week with the best fuel
Pros
The way it looks and runs.
Cons
People have attempted to steal it quite a few times. Nothing wrong with the bike it just appears everyone wants it.

Rides smooth and like a dream, it's a lightweight bike meaning the maneuverability of it is spot on, handles corners well if you know how to handle bikes. Grips road well in even wet conditions
Not a hill bike! Lovely on flat and slight hills but not enough to make riding the Yorkshire terrain enjoyable.
Nothing.
Finding replacement parts are a pain if you don't know where to look. Mainly fairing panels etc. The exhaust cover screw rattled loose causing me to lose the cover (now secured firmly in place)
The braking system has saved my life on a few occasions, back brake foes lock when applied too hard and quick which can cause more problems then solutions
Pros
It goes and goes and goes. This bike gets me from a to b perfectly in all weathers. For me this bike can't be faulted.
Cons
Nothing comes to mind.

Excellent ride very precise and not to crashy or hard. Great for a first bike
For a 125 it has plenty of get up and go just could do with a few more horses to match the likes of the R125
It’s a 125. It does about 102mpg and Tyres and servicing is cheap.
Not had anything go wrong with it apart from the clutch cable failing.
Again for a 125 it has amazing brakes.
