The Old Smithy

The Old Smithy

You’ll find the Old Smithy Tearooms in the heart of the Peak District village of Monyash, the perfect location for a bite to eat and rest during a tour.

The Old Smithy Tearooms opened in 1992 and has been run by the same family ever since; the locals love them and the tourists are always coming back for another tasty Smithy’s breakfast. The menu will cater for everyone with hot and cold food for selection from snacks to full on meals. The cafe is also part of the Peak Cuisine food scheme therefore only offering the best locally sourced produce with great freshness, value and quality always.Old Smithy Tearoom outside credit fb

If you’re just stopping in for a quick refreshment then you can get ground coffee by the cup or even a PINT of tea – a great way to warm up after a cold ride. There’s lots of space outside the cafe to park up and enjoy the stunning views of the Peak District.

The cafe is open 7 days a week, however the opening hours may be shorter during the winter months if there’s not much passing trade. It’s always a good idea to ring ahead if you’re planning to pop by later in the day.
