Honda UK builds limited factory special endurance race-rep edition of CB1000R super naked
Honda’s not a firm short on sporting heritage, especially in endurance racing – and the firm’s UK division has plenty too. So it’s no mystery where the super-stylish paint job on this limited edition CB1000R has come from – it’s the classic red blue and white of the firm’s race machines, also seen on the BSB Fireblades this year.
Honda UK’s commissioned a numbered limited-edition run of special CB1000Rs from custom bike builder Guy Willison. Willison built a super-classy CB1100RS special for Honda UK in 2019, and has been signed up again for this tasty piece of work.
The base for the special 5Four bike is a standard 2021 CB1000R NSC, with factory quickshifter added. Then, Willison added a sweet bespoke headlamp fairing, constructed from composite materials, his own tail tidy design, LED rear light, LSL levers and mirrors, hand-stitched diamond pattern leather seat, and an individually numbered badge. You also get a super-trick Racefit Growler-X titanium race exhaust, with custom laser-etched 5Four/Racefit logos.
The paint is perhaps the most striking change though: it’s a gorgeous candy red with blue panels and pearl white highlights. It lifts the CB1000R right away, especially since it comes in fairly restrained single-colour schemes as stock.
Honda’s also using the CB1000R to launch its new range of finance options. The firm’s Honda Finance Europe division overhauled its operation last year when COVID-19 hit and customers changed their ways of buying. And Honda now has a wide range of buying options for customers via its dealer network, with Hire Purchase, Vehicle Purchase Loan or Personal Contract Purchase deals all available now.
