Moto-Guzzi 1200 Sport Bike Overview
Despite the name, the Moto-Guzzi 1200 Sport is not a sports bike, more a heavy-duty roadster. Weighing in at 229kg and with an 1151cc, 6 geared, 8v transverse V-twin engine, this Moto-Guzzi is nothing short of a beat of a machine.
In terms of comfort, the general consensus is good, however when on long rides you start to feel the weight on your arms, due to considerably low, forward handle bars. This of course could suit some riders and can be modified by those is doesn’t. It is worth noting that like the handle bars, the seat is relatively low.
This bike comes with a sense of nostalgia, as do most Moto-Guzzi’s, the famous eagle logo is on the fuel tank for all to see and the combination of classic, yet stylish design makes this bike attractive to the eye.
The Moto-Guzzi 1200 Sport drew much attention upon its release when it was due to take place on the small Franciacorta circuit near Bergamo in Italy. This is obviously not such a beastly bikes natural environment, yet the reviews were good and it has been said, if this was a different, more popular brand, the bike itself would be much more popular.
