Aprilia Shiver 900 Bike Overview

An upgrade of the Aprilia Shiver 750, the 900 is a far better ride in all departments. The improved torque has been increased by 6.4ftlb, which is noticeable throughout the rev range, and the bike feels much more powerful than a standard 900cc. Different riding modes come in useful for different situations, such as Sport which increases the power and Touring that decreases this slightly.

The Shiver 900 is somewhat different to your usual naked Aprilia, this down to the smoothness of the ride and updated electronics which improves the riding experience.

Despite these impressive differences, very much like the Shiver 750 the 900 is capped at 95bhp, meaning the bike is still eligible for A2 licence holders, just. Other similarities include the rake, trail, wheelbase and swingarm and of course chassis, which has had a slight altercation.

Some fun gadgets are included, such as Bluetooth enabling you to connect your smartphone and four-way traction control which is always a big help when out on the road.

Overall we’d say this bike is not going to take your breath away, though it is a reliable bike that can give some real power when pushed to the max.
