Everything you need to know about The Bike Shed Festival
It’s your classic bike festival but with an epic Bike Shed twist – over one weekend the Shed takes over Lydden Circuit down on the Kent coast so we can celebrate the best of the custom biking scene; it’s not all about superbikes and sportsbikes, it’s about putting your shed built custom bike on the tarmac to test it round a real life circuit.
The races include:
The Café Racer Cup: If you’re the proud owner of a modern, classic or retro styled café racer then this is the race for you!
The Street Cup: This one is for the naked streetbikes that are classic or custom.
The Easy Rider Cup: Chopper, bobbers, cruisers…
The Herald L-plate Cup: Perfect for our learners limited to a 125cc machine
The Vintage Cup: For the old school, vintage machines
If you don’t fancy taking part in the racing then there is a lot to admire still; you can pitch yourself up for the weekend and watch all the drama unfold on track but also take a walk round the selective stands promoting the best in the custom biking world. There’s also lots of entertainment with live music for the whole weekend.
There’s the option to camp, or shall we say ‘glamp’ at the festival too – Bell Tents are available to hire for the whole weekend with all the home comforts you could possibly need.
