Devitt are working with Transport for London to promote safe riding. TfL are encouraging riders to further their skills with a number of courses: 1-2-1 Motorcycle Skills, Beyond Compulsory Basic Training: Skills for Delivery Riders, Preparing for your CBT and BikeSafe-London.

The courses are part of the Mayor of London’s Vision Zero approach to eliminating death and serious injury on London’s streets by 2041.

If you’ve completed any of these courses then we will recognise your efforts to improve your riding skills with a 10% discount on your motorbike insurance policy when you come directly to Devitt Insurance.

How to claim your 10% motorbike insurance discount

To claim your 10% discount for your motorcycle insurance, simply click the ‘Get your discounted quote’ button in the banner above and you’ll be taken to our dedicated TfL quote system. Your 10% discount will be automatically applied to this quote. Alternatively, call our contact centre and inform one of our helpful advisors that you have come via TfL motorcycle rider skills courses to obtain your discount. The discount cannot be taken on quotes obtained through a comparison site.

This offer is for new insurance quotes only, it cannot be applied to existing policies. You must get a quote directly for Devitt (not through a comparison site or recalling a previous quote from a comparison site) by using the dedicated link, otherwise your 10% discount will not be applied. You must provide copies of your training certificates to us one you have purchased your insurance. This is a one-day course fully-funded by TfL, teaching riders more about the Highway Code, riding with a load, planning routes and more…

This is a great course for anyone who is thinking about becoming a motorcycle delivery rider or is already one. You will start by learning:

The Highway Code
Motorcycle maintenance
How to secure and ride with a load
How to use a satnav system on the move

After that you’ll be able to take your knowledge to the road:

Planning your own routes along busy urban roads
Test yourself as you deliver to a number of locations along your route

1-2-1 Motorcycle Skills

This two hour one-to-one session with a a qualified instructor is is free and aimed at commuters and those ride bikes with smaller engines. It can be used to improve rider confidence on a particular route, such as their commute.

Training sessions are offered 7 days a week from 6am – 7pm. The course is fully-funded by TfL so start planning your route today and take advantage of this great course. Find out more information now!
