Honda CBR1000F Bike Overview
With a 10 year production span, it’s quite clear to see why the Honda’s sports-touring model was so popular, even if there were better looking machines on the market.
The CBR1000F probably favours the touring side of the ‘sports-touring’ styled machine with a great riding style, especially for 2 up. It can rack up incredible mileage before needing any major TLC and you can guarantee you’ll get from A to B with the 22 litre fuel tank. Although it’s fitted with a 998cc liquid cooled 4-stroke engine producing 135bhp and a top speed of around 160mph, the CBR1000F still leaves a lot to be desired.
Not much was updated on the bike during its production run, the main focus was on the cam chain which caused issues for riders. The bikes were soon recalled for the remove the chain completely.
