Triumph Bonneville T120 Bike Overview
This is a refined bike with great styling and a smooth motor. It’s also comfortable: a very practical retro bike indeed. We love the Triumph Bonneville T120, mainly because of how it looks, but it does pack a punch on the road too.
Cornering isn’t great on this bike, but it still handles well enough. Ground clearance is quite limited but the suspension is soft. The engine feels great as you pull away. It has a new parallel twin motor which may be only 1200cc, but as long as the rev counter is showing more than 2000rpm it pulls you forward really nicely. There are virtually no vibrations!
What’s great about this bike is the look of it. There has been a huge amount of time spent on the styling and if you stand back and admire this bike, you can’t help but smile. The optional two-tone paint is worth the extra money if you’re up for it, too.
Coming standard with this bike is ABS, traction control and heated grips. The dash is packed with lots of useful information, including a fuel range and a gear position indicator.

A little uncomfortable after an hour.
Great paint, nice touches on the engine. If only they had put some fake cables on the fake carbs.
A little weak, noticed when two up.
Requires better springs, however far better than the 865 model, corners well, front brakes a little week.
Nice and Torquay, for a classic looking bike, far better than the old model, another 10 bhp would be nice.
Great on fuel, easily self maintained, low insurance costs.
Pros
Ease of riding. Responsive engine. Light clutch, responsive brakes, good grippy tyres. A great bike which has modern classic looks and is pleasure to ride.
Cons
Front brake occasionally makes a moaning sound which is a bit off-putting.

I was used to a Harley Softail Deluxe before this so it feels light to me! Shocks are a bit bouncy on some road surfaces but I can live with that. Corners really well. Amazing to be able to lean over and not produce sparks!
Very powerful, torquey engine which is a pleasure to use
Front brake occasionally makes a moaning sound which is a bit off-putting.
Seems very well built
Very good brakes. ABS work a treat, though I've only tested it out. never had to use it in earnest! Tyres grip well.
Pros
A dream to own and ride. Looks great, rides well and love every moment. Rekindled the love of biking.
Cons
Could be a little louder.

Handles like a dream. It's been a while and my Bonny looks after me.
All work well.
Due to the engine not being too powerful nothing is stressed and I don't have to replace anything.
Looks beautiful and no issues.
All work well.
Pros
Its retro looks and paint scheme.
Cons
The mirrors, I would just like a slightly wider view of the road behind without my arms being in view.

It suits me perfectly, a simple system but well tuned to the bike.
The torque is amazing and the performance is perfectly suited to real world riding.
Ok I'm a pensioner therefore insurance is very well priced. Fuel economy is very good for a 1200cc machine and I don't think the annual service cost is going to be too bad.
No problems, one recall and superb paintwork.
Brakes are well matched to the performance of the bike.
Pros
Style quality and performance
Cons
Nothing in particular

A bit heavy to manoeuvre by hand but once moving it is so easy
Masses of low down torque and plenty of power for the type of bike.
Very economical and long service intervals
Early days but everything is well made and finished and looks good quality
Not had to use in anger but seems strong and easily controlled never had to get the abs working
Pros
Lovely easy to use bike with plenty of technology as standard
Cons
Tank rack to finish the retro look

Light and agile . can cruise or scratch all around great bike
Smooth power delivery , great throttle response at all speeds
Overall running costs inline with any modern bike , can get a bit thirsty when pushed hard
Fantastic quality
Brilliant brakes , abs and traction control what more do you need
Pros
Best bits are engine, comfort, clutch, styling, solid feel on road and paint job on tank. Worst bits are tyres and rear brake travel/feel
Cons
Change the bloody tyres!

Tyres let it down . Will change them as soon as possible.
Cracking engine with oodles of torque. Last bike was r nine t more power but not as nice as the T120
Running in the bike giving over 60mpg. Insurance was £40 cheaper than my last bike BMW r nine t.
Looks good, too early too tell on reliability.
Only issue is back brake pedal travel seems a lot. I will try and adjust position soon.
